What A Fucking Disappointment I Must Have Been

Fri Apr 3, 2009, 8:08 PM
  • Mood: Miserable
  • Watching: The past me die again.
  • Eating: Grapefruit.
So it turns out I was never really a kid to my parents.

Just a thing to be tamed.

Wonderful.

... Mum and I really should have these heart-to-heart chats more often.

On A Roll (New Fic + Tag)

Wed Mar 18, 2009, 4:28 PM
  • Mood: Zeal
  • Listening to: Lotsa Meatloaf on YouTube.
  • Watching: Season 3 of DS9.
  • Eating: Rye bread with butter and marmelade.
  • Drinking: BOOOOZE! Muahahahaha.
I don't know why, but somehow Star Trek fanfiction seems to be coming to me a lot easier than everything else right now. I've finished (yes, FINISHED) my second story in ONE week, and whadda ya know, it's even a high rating. :omg: That's a new record for meh.

The newest story (for ST: Deep Space Nine) can be found at the bottom of the [Miscellaneous Page]. BE WARNED, IT IS NC-17!!! Read at your own risk, and if you're under 18, just don't click it.

It's mainly written as a St. Patty's Day slash piece, so the obvoius pairing is O'Brien/Bashir. :devilish:

Tag Time!

Name quiz thingy, tagged by :iconcrazyhobbitgirl:, if I'm not mistaken. The tag was a while ago... ^^;

Go to Google and type in your first name and the phrase. Copy and paste the first sentence/phrase you get that makes sense.

Let it begin!

Q: Type in "[your name] needs" in the Google search.
A: Logan needs a specialty harness to keep him in his seat while we are on the road.
..... :noes: But I *promised* I'd keep my hands to myself!

Q: Type in "[your name] looks like" in Google search.
A: Logan looks like he finally snagged himself a hottie.
(Boo-yah!)

You'd better believe it, Bub.

Q: Type in "[your name] wants" in Google search.

P.S.
For once, I was scheduled for a full 5 days at work, so I'm bushed. Not ignoring anyone, just dead tired. I'll get to those messages eventually, I promise.

I'm Blue, Da Ba Dee... Or Not. (New Fic!)

  • Watching: Season 3 of DS9.
  • Eating: Applesauce and walnuts.
  • Drinking: Tea with soymilk.
So much for giving myself a weeklong break, like I said I was going to. Instead, Murphy's Law kicked in and I caught my third Winter cold/flu. Go figure, eh? So my main reason for being away and antisocial was really my inability to breathe, rather than my initial Emoness and despair.

In the time I've been away, I've decided that I'm going to start up an Etsy.com account soon to sell some of my craft-work. I'm gonna wait until I have a decent amount of items already made, but I'll let you all know as soon as sales are set to go. Just in case there's somethin' ya might like. ^^
Once I get set up on Etsy, "Hanami At Mt. Fuji" will be going up there, too, assuming no one on DA has sent me an offer before then. (In other words, this is your last chance to haggle for it! The price will be a set one on Etsy.)

Speaking of Murphy's Law, I did a Stupid the other day. I tried dyeing the top of my hair blue, but forgot what happened the last time I tried such a thing. Thanks to my mum's side of the family, I have to leave any bleaching/colouring stuff in my hair for at least double the recommended time if I want to see any results.

The mixture I bought was supposed to be a 10-minute deal, at maximum. I ended up leaving it in for 15 minutes, and when I washed it out... The tub was filled with blue, and all that happened to my hair was a light frosting of amber-brown.

I mean, it looks good, but... it's... not... BLUE! :noes:

Judging by that, I'm guessing I would've had to leave the mix in for more like 45 minutes or an hour before the dye would've taken. :( Now I've got a friggin' NSYNC look or something instead.

In other news... I has fic! An all-nighter produced my first-ever Star Trek fic, "I've Seen Everything". Which, BTW, is named in honour of a certain episode of "Extras". ;) The one with Patrick Stewart. If you haven't seen it yet, go YouTube search it; 'tis funny!
The story can be found on the Miscellaneous Fics page of my archive site, at the bottom of the list. This story has also been crossposted to my LiveJournal.

Sorry to say that not much progress has been made on other fics, though. ^^; And, as usual, my mind went off at warp 5 and gave me a few more Star Trek plot bunnies to try and tame. They won't be added to the To-Do List, but I'll write them up if I still can't lift the persistent writer's block I've been experiencing on everything else.

Finally, I'd like to announce that the main portions of Birdie's hat and Ria's mask are underway, though I'm still ironing out a few design kinks in Ria's. (Yes, the not-so-fun kind of kinks.)
However, not all of my sewing/craft time can be devoted to those, as I still need to finish the full 8 chair cushions for the fam, and also need to crochet stuff for my upcoming Etsy stock. Trust me, the crocheting is the fastest, hence why I've chosen it as my main medium for the sale items; that way, it won't cut in as much to the time needed to finish my DA trades. :phew:

My next journal will probably be movie reviews. I splurged a bit and got some DVDs, one of which I've never watched before. The other two are Rocky Horror and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, which I've seen before, so I won't review those.

And yes, my sister taped the Oscars, but NO, I still have not had a chance to watch the tape. Spoilers will still be met with a baseball bat to the head. :evileye:

... And, due to residual Emoness, I'm still not likely to answer my messages very fast. Sawwy. ^^;

"Hanami at Mt Fuji" for sale.

Tue Feb 24, 2009, 7:25 AM
  • Mood: Anguish
So much for staying away all week, eh?

...Yes, the Mount Fuji 3D-art is now up for grabs to the highest bidder. My dad took it down from its place on the wall this morning and left it on top of the trash. I guess it's safe to assume he won't want it back at any point, so if anyone reading this is interested in owning one of my pathetic attempts at art, this is your chance.

[Deviation page for "Hanami at Mount Fuji"]

The Artist Comment on the Deviation page lists everything used to create the piece. I'd like to say I'm giving it away for free, but I do need whatever money I can make off of it, so I can't.
I'd prefer a minimum of $20 for it, plus shipping, but the price is negotiable. And generousity is greatly appreciated. I'm willing to make a PayPal account if that helps.

Please, someone buy the damn thing because I'm sick of looking at it. Price can be discussed here, so everyone can see any competing offers, but payment/shipping negotiations must be done via Notes to protect individual privacy, as per common sense. Thanks.

Volatile Much?

Sun Feb 22, 2009, 6:43 PM
  • Mood: Angsty
  • Watching: Nothing. T_T
This journal's to let everyone know I'm likely not gonna be answering messages for most of this week.

Why, you ask? Well, I tell you, it's because a certain Ogre (if you don't know who this is by now, dun ask) completely snapped earlier tonight, and the result has left me momentarily shaken. I've decided to spend my days off getting boozed up and watching every happy, cheerful, and nerdy video I want to watch, immerse myself in video games, and do whatever the hell other anti-social things I feel like doing. I think I deserve at least that much after a near-roughing-up from someone related to me; trust me, if it had happened with someone else, I wouldn't be this upset.

Or, who knows, maybe tomorrow, after the adrenaline wears off, I might not feel the need to take a weeklong vacation from life. We'll see.

---
And on top of that, NO, I did not get to watch the Oscars. :depressed: Don't give me any spoilers unless you're prepared to get your head bitten off in an overly verbose way, 'cause there's still a chance my sister taped it.

Phew...

EDIT
[YouTube vid] There, see? Drunk's the way to go for calmness and serenity. From the Jackman himself. :XD: I'm liking this video-immersion therapy already!
