So much for giving myself a weeklong break, like I said I was going to. Instead, Murphy's Law kicked in and I caught my third Winter cold/flu.

Go figure, eh? So my main reason for being away and antisocial was really my inability to breathe, rather than my initial Emoness and despair.
In the time I've been away, I've decided that I'm going to start up an Etsy.com account soon to sell some of my craft-work. I'm gonna wait until I have a decent amount of items already made, but I'll let you all know as soon as sales are set to go. Just in case there's somethin' ya might like. ^^
Once I get set up on Etsy, "Hanami At Mt. Fuji" will be going up there, too, assuming no one on DA has sent me an offer before then. (In other words, this is your last chance to haggle for it! The price will be a set one on Etsy.)
Speaking of Murphy's Law, I did a Stupid the other day. I tried dyeing the top of my hair blue, but forgot what happened the last time I tried such a thing. Thanks to my mum's side of the family, I have to leave any bleaching/colouring stuff in my hair for
at least double the recommended time if I want to see any results.
The mixture I bought was supposed to be a 10-minute deal, at maximum. I ended up leaving it in for 15 minutes, and when I washed it out... The tub was filled with blue, and all that happened to my hair was a light frosting of amber-brown.
I mean, it looks good, but... it's... not... BLUE!
Judging by that, I'm guessing I would've had to leave the mix in for more like 45 minutes or an hour before the dye would've taken.

Now I've got a friggin' NSYNC look or something instead.
In other news... I has fic! An all-nighter produced my first-ever Star Trek fic, "I've Seen Everything". Which, BTW, is named in honour of a certain episode of "Extras".

The one with Patrick Stewart. If you haven't seen it yet, go YouTube search it; 'tis funny!
The story can be found on the
Miscellaneous Fics page of my archive site, at the bottom of the list. This story has also been crossposted to my LiveJournal.
Sorry to say that not much progress has been made on other fics, though.

And, as usual, my mind went off at warp 5 and gave me a few more Star Trek plot bunnies to try and tame. They won't be added to the To-Do List, but I'll write them up if I still can't lift the persistent writer's block I've been experiencing on everything else.
Finally, I'd like to announce that the main portions of Birdie's hat and Ria's mask are underway, though I'm still ironing out a few design kinks in Ria's. (Yes, the not-so-fun kind of kinks.)
However, not all of my sewing/craft time can be devoted to those, as I still need to finish the full 8 chair cushions for the fam, and also need to crochet stuff for my upcoming Etsy stock. Trust me, the crocheting is the fastest, hence why I've chosen it as my main medium for the sale items; that way, it won't cut in as much to the time needed to finish my DA trades.

My next journal will probably be movie reviews. I splurged a bit and got some DVDs, one of which I've never watched before. The other two are
Rocky Horror and
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, which I've seen before, so I won't review those.
And yes, my sister taped the Oscars, but NO, I still have not had a chance to watch the tape. Spoilers will still be met with a baseball bat to the head.

... And, due to residual Emoness, I'm still not likely to answer my messages very fast. Sawwy.
