:evileye: Yes, the CGI... It really annoys me that the 'farther back' you go in the Star Wars timeline, the technology seems to advance.

I think the idea was that due to the Empire's oppression, no one could really afford to buy the cool shit they had unser the Republic... and George Lucas still is trying to create the idea that he always had... with a bit too much vigor. ;P

Meh... I guess. I still think the prequels were too slapped-together. The money would've been much better spent on, say, a Monkey Island movie :)

If they had done that first, they would've gotten out before PotC did.

..... Monkey... Island? I have no clue what you refer to.
I hope for your sake that you didn't just yell that off the top of your head. That would make you madder than I! :giggle:

:jawdrop: Oh, ye of few 1990s PC games!

"The Secret of Monkey Island" is an old LucasFilm (wasn't yet LucasArts) game for DOS and early Windows. It's about a pirate wannabe, Guybrush Threepwood (who I swear looks like a teenage Andy Dick) and his quest to become a swashbuckler. It's hilarious and very Indiana Jones-esque.

I think you can find a CD version on Ebay and stuff with the first 2 MI games on it, converted to work in Windows 95 and higher. There are 4 in all now, with the third - "The Curse of Monkey Island" - being the first with newer graphics and actual voice acting.

^__^ I was 19 when I got a laptop, but we had games on my dad's company-bought PC back in '89. Mickey Mouse had its own sound box you had to hook up because it had different sound effects. >__< And then there was the Sesame Street Letter-Go-Round game... *sigh*

And the monitor was mostly black, with 3 color-tint settings.

:D That's cute. My local bookstore switched over to digital about the same time, too-- they were still using microfilm sheets for their book catalogs!! :giggle:
